Established in 2015 with an Executive and Constitution by MCP and other OPP members, CAMS—an advocacy group predominantly composed of women—spent its first four years pursuing applications before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario while working to advance equity in compensation, recognition, learning and promotional opportunities, role clarity, culture, and professional development within the OPP. CAMS was formally recognized in August 2019 as a professional partner alongside the Commissioner’s Command Team, the OPPA, and the COA.
